Discovery Camp 2025

Citrus County Parks and Recreation is excited to announce its second Discovery Camp, scheduled from Tuesday, July 22, to Friday, July 26. This camp is designed for children aged 3 to 5, allowing them to engage in fun and educational activities alongside their parents or guardians. Join us daily from 9 AM to 12 PM for a week filled with creativity, exploration, movement, and imagination. Each day features a new theme with interactive experiences that the whole family will enjoy! **Tuesday, July 22 – Discover Nature** Kick off the week with nature-inspired activities: - Birdwatching walk - Chalk and clay art - Nature games and puzzles - Group story time and crafts - Create your own creature **Wednesday, July 23 – Discover Art** Get colorful with hands-on art adventures: - Color wheel painting - Clay painting and zentangle - Watercolors and recycled art - Make your own camp sign **Thursday, July 24 – Discover Sports** Ready, set, go! It’s time to move: - Soccer drills - Basketball basics - Volleyball, tennis, and pickleball - Baseball practice - Cool-down stretches **Friday, July 25 – Discover Dinosaurs and More** Roar into the weekend with a dino-tastic day: - Dino storybook - Dino dioramas and “Dinos in Space” - Make music with T-Rexie - Dino Dig Exhibition - Dino crafts and tracks - Pizza and popsicles send-off Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, play, and grow together!
