 FrogWatch Chapter (FL Frog Hoppers) and become a citizen scientist! As a ci
 tizen scientist you will have the opportunity to explore your local wetland
 s, learn to identify local frogs and toads by their calls, and contribute d
 ata to a long-term scientific study.<br /><br />Join us for this training s
 ession! (Kids 8+ are welcome to join with an adult). We will go through a d
 etailed PowerPoint about the frogs and toads of our area, followed by a hik
 e down to May's Prairie to listen and identify local frogs in the wild.<br 
 />Monitoring through FrogWatch USA can be an enriching experience that allo
 ws individuals to connect with nature while contributing to amphibian conse
 rvation efforts.<br /><br />This is a training session for you to be a Frog
 Watch volunteer. As a volunteer, you will be expected to monitor a wetland 
 area near you at least once a month (typically for 5-10 minutes), and to in
 put the data you record at your site into an online database.
