DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Our event includes local and regional teams coming together to race against
  each other in a series of heats in 11- or 21-person boats. We partner with
  Pan Am Dragon Boat out of Tampa.<br />Novice teams are provided with instr
 uction and all of the necessary equipment to race. Included in your team re
 gistration is a practice session where we will show you how to paddle and r
 ace. All the necessary equipment, including the boat, paddles, life vests, 
 a drum, and a professional steersman/coach is included for your practice se
 ssion and for your races on the day of the event.<br />A great team-buildin
 g experience and great exercise for everyone 14 years and older. Get your b
 usiness, community or school group together to race an 11 or 21 person boat
 ! Minimum 3 races planned (Mother Nature permitting).<br />Club teams and s
 pectators alike have raved about the location and organization of this even
 t in the past. The festival is focused on community involvement, our vetera
 ns, our school kids, charitable giving, and of course, healthy competition.
 <br />Proceeds from the annual Dragon Boat Festival help fund Citrus County
  Education Foundation programs that support the students and teachers of th
 e Citrus County School District.
