  each other in a series of heats in 11- or 21-person boats. We partner with
  Pan Am Dragon Boat out of Tampa.\nNovice teams are provided with instructi
 on and all of the necessary equipment to race. Included in your team regist
 ration is a practice session where we will show you how to paddle and race.
  All the necessary equipment, including the boat, paddles, life vests, a dr
 um, and a professional steersman/coach is included for your practice sessio
 n and for your races on the day of the event.\nA great team-building experi
 ence and great exercise for everyone 14 years and older. Get your business,
  community or school group together to race an 11 or 21 person boat! Minimu
 m 3 races planned (Mother Nature permitting).\nClub teams and spectators al
 ike have raved about the location and organization of this event in the pas
 t. The festival is focused on community involvement, our veterans, our scho
 ol kids, charitable giving, and of course, healthy competition.\nProceeds f
 rom the annual Dragon Boat Festival help fund Citrus County Education Found
 ation programs that support the students and teachers of the Citrus County 
 School District.
