 . Each month brings a new opportunity to learn about local wildlife, land s
 tewardship, and the conservation work that protects these special places.<b
 r /><br />This month's hike will begin and end at Chinsegut Conservation Ce
 nter , where restrooms and water fountains are available. Please arrive a f
 ew minutes early so we can start promptly at 9:00 a.m. The hike is approxim
 ately 2.2 miles and takes about 2 hours, ending around 11:00 a.m. Trails ar
 e unpaved with uneven and sometimes sandy terrain, and include both shaded 
 and open areas.<br /><br />Recommended items include long pants, closed‑toe
 d shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and water. Feel free to bring binoculars or a ca
 mera to enhance your experience—there’s always something exciting to discov
