Blue Springs Park
Blue Springs is only open between Memorial Day and Labor Day (June – August). It is a second-magnitude spring, and is a favorite local swimming hole.
The spring pool is surrounded by a concrete retaining wall around the northeastern perimeter, with stair and dock access. Spring waters issue from a series of sand boils scattered across the bottom of the pool.
Blue Springs discharges to the southwest down a short run and into the nearby Waccasassa River, which flows south to the Gulf of Mexico. There are restrooms, picnic pavilions and a concession stand onsite. Nearby hiking and riding trails pass through the Devils Hammock Wildlife Management Area.
