Boys and Girls Clubs of Citrus County

Boys & Girls Clubs of Citrus County has three Clubs located strategically across the county. We have clubs in Beverly Hills, Homosassa and Inverness.

For Citrus County kids ages 6-18, Boys & Girls Clubs of Citrus provides a positive, constructive bridge between the end of the school day and the parents’ arrival home from work. For the kids we serve, this means that they are in a protected, constructive environment during the high-risk hours of 3-8 pm. By providing that safe place to go after school, we redefine the opportunity equation for our members: School + Out of School = GREAT FUTURES.

HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHOICES-Smart programs help youth learn how to make critical choices based on knowledge and understanding cause and affect.

EDUCATION & CAREER-- A core program area designed to enable youth to become proficient in basic educational principles, apply learning to everyday situations and embrace technology to achieve career success.

THE ARTS-- art programs enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing.

FITNESS & RECREATION--fitness & recreation programs develop fitness, positive use of leisure time, stress management skills, appreciation for the environment and social skills.

CHARACTER & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT--Programs in this Core Program Area empower youth to support and influence their Club and community, sustain meaningful relationships with others, develop a positive self-image, participate in the democratic process and respect their own and others’ cultural identities.
