Citrus County Harvest

We are “Citrus County Harvest,” but you probably know us by one of the names of our three food security programs:

Citrus County Blessings, dedicated to silencing the weekend hunger of local children in need. Each week during the school year participants in the program receive a bag of food to take home for the weekend. Students enrolled in the federally funded free or reduced breakfast and lunch program are eligible to participate in the Blessings program.

Feed the Kids, a program providing food throughout the week to children in need during the summer months, when the school lunch programs are closed.

Volunteer activities may include, but are not limited to food crating, packing, distribution, special events, administrative as well as off-site activities.
