Crystal River Preserve State Park Eco-Walk

Celebrate the beginning of summer on National Trails Day by taking a Summer Stroll on the Eco Walk Trail! This 2.2 mile loop trail is the perfect place to kick off your active summer! The trail meanders through several different habitats, so you’ll see lots of different plants and animals along the way. There are benches where you can sit quietly and contemplate the natural beauty. You can hike past a spring, freshwater wetlands, creeks, a pond, and upland habitats such as hammocks with astounding grandfather oaks. Will you see bluebirds feeding their young in the meadow? Or an alligator sunning himself? Come and see for yourself!

This is a GREAT hike for families! Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must remain on a hand-held leash shorter than 6 feet.
