

Citrus County Parks and Recreation invites kids to embark on an exciting journey of exploration and adventure! This program offers a diverse range of outdoor recreational activities designed to inspire and engage young participants. Kids will have the opportunity to unleash their creativity through art, explore new sports, reel in a big catch while fishing. It’s the perfect blend of fun, learning, and physical activity that encourages a love for the great outdoors!
Parent or guardian supervision is encouraged!
Nature Monday at Tillis Hill Recreational Area 9AM to 12PM
9231 S. Trail 13, Inverness
Kids will explore local wildlife and habitats through hands-on discovery, observation activities and fun nature-based learning that builds curiosity and appreciation for the outdoors.

Art Tuesday at Citrus County Canning Center, 3405 W. Southern Street, Lecanto 9 AM to 12 PM.
Kids will discover ways to express their creativity through watercolor and mixed media.
Sports Wednesday at Bicentennial Park, 501 North Baseball Point, Crystal River 9 AM to 12 PM.
We have taken over Bicentennial Park to introduce kids to various sports!

Fishing Thursday is at Fort Island Trail Park, 12073 W. Fort Island Trail, Crystal River, from 9 AM to 12 PM. It offers kids the chance to learn about fishing and become Florida-friendly anglers.

Celebration Friday at 8145 W Bicentennial Park Dr, Crystal River 10:30 AM to 12 PM. It’s pool time at Bicentennial Pool Park for a Celebration of Spring Break.
Please bring towels and change of clothes! Kids can stay with parents after 12pm for open swim, but a pool ticket must be purchased.
