Lecanto School of the Arts is a program designed for students with a high interest in the visual arts. Every year, eighth grade students are selected through an application process that assesses artistic interest, ability, and middle school performance. Students who graduate from LSA can earn college credit through Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), or Career and Technical Education (CTE) in the following pathways.
LSA Pathways:
Painting/Drawing (2D Art)
Sculpture/Pottery (3D Art)
Animation Technology
This program strives to develop responsible, skilled, and competitive students. Therefore, students are required to maintain expectations for behavior, conduct, academics, and attendance while in the program. Students also have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities, field trips, and community events through LSA.
Lecanto High School also has an International Baccalaureate Program.
