Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School, which is part of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, is a Catholic college preparatory, co-educational school serving grades 9-12. We are an exceptional, educational Catholic community rooted in faith, compassion, integrity, and service. Through our qualified, engaged, and caring faculty and staff who are grounded in Catholic values, we encourage every student to become their “best self.”
Launched in the 2018–2019, in response to growing demand across Pasco, Hillsborough, Hernando, Pinellas, and Citrus counties, Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School proudly introduced the Diocese of St. Petersburg’s first secondary education program for students with special needs.
Our program provides an inclusive, nurturing environment where each student’s individuality is honored and supported. Our goal is to help students grow spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically while strengthening confidence and self-esteem.
Led by certified special education teachers, the program emphasizes personal integrity, social skills, and strong work habits.
All ESE students are required to meet the graduation standards established by the State of Florida Department of Education.
Academics – We offer a wide-range of college-preparatory, honors, advance placement, and dual enrollment courses. We challenge our students in communication and collaboration, problem-solving and critical thinking, research and questioning, reflection and self-evaluation.
Faith – Believing that faith development and spiritual growth are essential to the development of the whole person, we celebrate through prayer, Eucharistic celebration, Sacrament of Reconciliation, peer ministry and Campus Ministry.
Performing Arts – Our State-of-the-Art Eleanor Dempsey Performing Arts Center (EDPAC), which is an 880-seat theatre located on the campus of BMCHS, hosts a variety of events including plays, musicals, concerts, and speaking engagements.
Athletics – 23 FHSAA Sports—Numerous District, Regional & State Champs.
