I’m Heather, your local certified Birth Doula of New Roots. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I’m not just a certified Birth Doula; I’m a passionate advocate for the power of informed, empowered birthing experiences.
Since 2017, closely working with a local doctor, which exceeded my experience working in obstetrics & gynecology, as a certified Medical Assistant and certified Birth Doula. Since starting OBGyn clinical care, I have grown the love for labor and delivery- attending births, advocating for women, seeing baby’s first breaths to seeing them growing up to be so strong independent.
From conception, pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum journeys, women are at their most vulnerable time and that’s where my passion has grown. Since having Ellie and being in that position, it has given me the outlook that has pushed me to fulfill my dreams to provide passionate care to other women. Showing women the raw side of “mommyhood”- its okay to not be okay, its okay not to be “beautiful” its okay!!
