Florida West Coast Breastfeeding Taskforce

The Florida West Coast Breastfeeding Task Force partners with the Florida Department of Health and other community organizations in providing free breastfeeding support groups and events to mothers in the community. As a non profit organization, we also host events throughout the year such as the Big Latch On and participate in community outreach efforts and conferences related to breastfeeding support, promotion and protection.

The Mom to Mom Breastfeeding Support Group is Free and open to the public. Mom, baby and family or friends are welcome to attend. The group provides lactation support by breastfeeding peer counselors, Certified Lactation Counselors, and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Different topics discussed each week and monthly guest speakers. Topics include: Latch support, milk supply, returning to work/school and pumping, growth spurts, tips for childcare providers, babywearing, infant CPR, car seat safety, money saving tips, and more!

Pasco, Hernando and Citrus county offer breastfeeding support classes weekly. These classes are offered free of charge to the community.
