Music in Community delivers collaborative music experiences for every skill level. Whether creating or enjoying music, we understand that music is for everyone! Explore upcoming music making opportunities to experience the joy of music as a community.
Music Together: The Music Together program is based on research that suggests that all children can learn to sing in tune and move in rhythm, as long as they grow up in a family that sings and plays in musical ways, especially during the first several years of life while the brain is growing rapidly.
Since young children learn best through meaningful interaction with adults with whom they share a close bond, the Music Together music and classes are designed to inspire the whole family to sing and play together and integrate music-making into every day.
There is no need for music knowledge or skill to be a great music model for your child, any more than you need to be a professional public speaker for them to learn to talk. Immersion in a music-making family and community supports each child’s development naturally and effectively and gives rise to the cherished stories and memories of a musical childhood.
ColorFlow: ColorFlow is your escape into calm and creativity. Each monthly session features a handpicked musical artist whose songs set the mood while you color and unwind. Learn fun facts about the artist, enjoy their music in the background, and take home our ColorFlow Spotify Playlist to keep the vibes going. Because sometimes the best way to connect with music… is simply to listen.
UkePlay: Learn how to play the ukelele in this monthly class for beginners. Must be 15 or older to participate. Participants are encouraged to bring their own ukelele as a very limited amount will be available for hands-on practice.
