Brooksville Fire Department - Community Education

Public education is a very important part of our work at BFD. Each year we visit area schools, conduct station tours, and go to nursing homes and businesses throughout the City to educate the public on Fire and Life Safety. We prefer to prevent fires and accidents, rather than respond to them. Our education programs include but are not limited to; fire prevention, smoke detection in the home, fire escape planning, fire extinguisher use, kitchen fire safety, elderly fall prevention, stop drop and roll, drowning prevention, and a host of other opportunities to assure that Brooksville remains a very safe community.
