The tradition of the Lessons and Carols service dates back to England in 1880. This service includes nine short Bible readings, or “lessons,” from Genesis, the prophetic books, and the Gospels, telling the Christmas story through scripture—from humanity’s fall to the birth of Jesus.
This Advent season, amid the hustle of the holiday season, we invite you to join us for a modern adaptation of this cherished service. To slow down and listen. Through scripture and song, we will direct our hearts and minds to the God who made us, who loves us, and who has come to redeem us.
In short, we invite you to experience wonder and worship. The aim of this service is just that—wonder and worship. We come together to worship a God who became like us so that we might become like Him. O come let us adore Him!
Childcare will be provided for children up to age 4, ensuring families can fully engage in this holiday tradition.
