Citrus County Parks and Recreation Division has exciting news to share: they are partnering with Legends for Youth Clinic, presented by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, to host their first-ever Baseball Clinic.
Manuel Coimbre, the Sports-Events Coordinator for Citrus County Parks and Recreation, expressed his delight in bringing a prestigious clinic to the community. The partnership is a testament to Citrus County's unwavering commitment to providing unique and engaging opportunities for the youth, which is an essential aspect of the community's growth and development. “It's a great accomplishment and a testimony to the dedication and commitment of everyone involved in making it happen."
Through the program, youth will have the opportunity to meet and learn from former Major League Baseball players, who will teach them the fundamentals of the game. The curriculum will cover everything from basic skills like throwing, catching, and hitting, to more advanced techniques like fielding and base running. But the clinic isn't just about baseball. It's also about developing important life skills like teamwork, sportsmanship, and goal-setting.
