What better way to observe the beauty of this planet than to join with others in a hike on the Eco-Walk Trail? This 2.2 mile long loop trail goes through several different habitats, so walkers will have the opportunity to see a variety of plants and animals, and the volunteer leaders will share all they know about them!
Held every April 22, Earth Day demonstrates support for environmental protection.
It’s an informal event - if you want to walk with a group, we’ve got you covered with volunteer hike leaders. If you want to hike by yourself or with a friend, you’re welcome to do that.
This is a rain-or-shine event, so remember to dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, bring bug repellent and sunscreen, and bring water. There is no charge for this event, but any donations will be wisely used by the Friends to support and improve the Crystal River State Parks. There's no public restroom onsite, so please “go before you go!”
