You can expect this series to be:
-Child-led
-Open to all walks of life, ages, and chess abilities
To anyone having a board: Please bring yours if you'd like to make sure we have enough for many games-thank you! (Not required to join though:)
This is not a drop off program: Caregivers are encouraged to stay present, with the ability to leave older kids in the room, while you hang out in the library. Adults are welcome to play chess with the kids if there are open seats. I'll help match the players up and keep the games going, if it is needed.
For those who are just learning or would find it helpful- I'll have the chess pieces (and their abilities) visible for the kiddos to reference. Our kids said they would be happy to teach others how to play!
