Snow Queen at Valerie Theatre

The Snow Queen ballet is based on the fairy tale storybook by Hans Christian Andersen which is also the inspiration of the well-known Disney movie, Frozen. This story is set to the music of Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Camille Saint-Saens, as well as other famous Russian composers. Our story begins with Kai and Gertie as their friendship is torn apart by the Frosty Enchantress and her magical ice fragments. Kai’s heart is turned to ice and he is taken away by the Snow Princess. Gertie is heartbroken and journeys through many obstacles in hopes to defeat the Frosty Enchantress’s spell and be reunited with her friend, Kai.
