As the nation prepares to give thanks this November, the City of Inverness invites the community to attend the Farm City Festival to take stock in the significance that local agriculture plays in our quality of life, and in the availability of nutritious and safe food. There will be opportunities to meet with farmers, master gardeners and canning experts, and local food and craft vendors. In addition to raising awareness, this event will provide a venue for families to have a hands-on experience with local farmers and farmers market vendors. There will be demonstrations such as butter churning.
This event is made possible by the support of the Hernando-Citrus Farm Bureau, Agricultural Alliance of Citrus County, and our local farmers.
