Join the City of Inverness on September 11th at 8:30 am, as we gather at the Depot Pavilion in Liberty Park to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The ceremony, located at 300 N. Apopka Ave, will commence with opening remarks by Mayor Bob Plaisted at 8:30 am, followed by a solemn remembrance ceremony. This event offers a chance for the community to unite, remember the lives lost, and honor the resilience that emerged from adversity.
All are welcome to attend this important occasion and stand together in unity as we remember the past and uphold the values that define us as a community.
After the ceremony, attendees are invited to view 9/11 memorabilia at the Valerie Theatre, 207 Courthouse Square.
